Elections for a Constituent Assembly will be held in Nepal on 20 June 2007.[1] This assembly will draft a new constitution and will therefore also decide on the fate of the Nepalese monarchy. Visiting Malaysian Minister of Youth and Sports Dato Seri Azalina Binta Doto Othman Siad called on Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala at the latter’s residence in Baluwatar Saturday morning.The meeting was focused on promoting labor opportunities for Nepali workers in Malaysia, reports said. Other issues of bilateral interest were also discussed during the meeting.

The Malaysian minister had met with Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prithivi Subba Gurung on Thursday and discussed about the tourism opportunities between the two countries. She had also informed him about the upcoming Malaysian expedition to Mt Everest.
